5:00 pm: HKR ended with the singing of Malaysia’s national song ‘Negaraku’ before participants dispersed.

4:45 pm: Mursyidul Am (spiritual leader) Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat led the HKR closing prayer.

It was preceded by a speech from Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

2:35 pm: The atmosphere outside Merdeka Stadium is crowded as participants are incessantly heading to the location, especially from the National Mosque.

Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, PKR President Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, PKR Vice-President Nurul Izzah and Mursyidul Am (spiritual leader) Datuk Seri Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, have arrived outside the stadium.

Also present is the Chief Minister of Selangor, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.

2:25 pm: An estimate of 5,000 participants are still outside Merdeka Stadium as they are unable to enter the location.

It is understood that 10,000 activists gathered at the National Mosque will be heading to the stadium shortly.

2:10 pm: Participants who have arrived at the stadium late cannot enter the stadium as the capacity of Merdeka Stadium us almost full.

1:40 pm: Participants of HKR have almost filled up Merdeka Stadium which has a capacity of 30,000.

While waiting for the next event from the organisers, Muslim participants are taking the opportunity to carry out their Zohor prayers on the field and open spaces in the stadium.

The participants are filled with excitement and some say that this assembly is not like previous assemblies which are loaded with feelings of pressure from the authorities.

1.15 pm: Approximately 10,000 university students have arrived at the stadium after marching over from the University of Malaya Mosque.

12:35 pm: The Royalty procession from KLCC has joined with the Youth Solidarity Malaysia group at Lebuh Ampang. The number of participants has reached 50,000, heading to Merdeka Stadium.

Meanwhile at Central Market, Pakatan Rakyat leaders such as Selangor Exco Elizabeth Wong and Kota Raja MP Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud, are briefing the participants regarding the march which will start at 1 pm.

They also reminded over 300 female participants dressed in purple to bring posters that only contain positive words and to not entertain attempts of provocations.

More than 3,000 participants of the assembly from the second group have started to march to Merdeka Stadium from Central Market accompanied by the PAS Unit Amal while chanting ‘Long live the people’ (Hidup Rakyat).

Meanwhile, HKR Chairman Mohamad Sabu and PKR secretary-general Datuk Saifuddin Nasution Ismail have arrived at Merdeka Stadium.

Bersih 2.0 Chairman Datuk S. Ambiga is already in the stadium.

12:00 pm – About 10,000 supporters of the movement demanding for oil royalty have began to move from KLCC to Merdeka Stadium headed by ANAK Chairman Mazlan Aliman.

11:10 am – Nearly 2,000 people are already at Central Market and Petaling Street. Most of them are wearing the BERSIH 2.0 yellow T-shirts.

Horns are being sounded from vehicles crossing the road in front of Central Market as a continuous sign of support.

Based on reports of seven main locations, more than 30,000 have already been in the capital since 11am.

Seven initial gathering spots before marching to the National Stadium are at KLCC, Brickfields, University of Malaya Mosque, Central Market.

The assembly organised by the Pakatan Rakyat Secretariat targets as many people as possible to come and show support as well as to pressure BN.

Apart from the three major components of PR consisting of PKR, PAS and DAP, several independant parties from Sabah and Sarawak are also expected to participate in the assembly which has already gotten a permit from the police.

It is anticipated that several NGOs such as BERSIH 2.0, Anti-Lynas, ANAK, SAMM, Gamis, Muafakat, Kase and a few others will be participating.

People from all seven locations will march to the National Stadium where the assembly will take place starting from 2 pm.

Nearly one million people are expected to flood Merdeka Stadium.

Meanwhile, the police, having prepared 50 Marshals to assist the media, can be seen at several locations.

Since last night, the police have been seen to be stationed at various locations, serving as traffic controllers.

11.00 am – Celebrity Abby Abadi chose to join the supporters of the ‘R’ Movement Demanding Royalties in conjunction with the People’s Uprising Assembly, KL112, as a sign of support, together with people from Kelantan and Terengganu who have been exploited over the years.

She said that as a citizen of Kuala Lumpur, she wanted to welcome the guests who wish to express support for the people, to bring change to the country.

“Alhamdulillah, I am given the chance join them. Previously, I was unable to join them.

“I hope that the government is willing to restore their rights before the people make changes,” she said in front of KLCC.

She hopes that today’s assembly will carry out peacefully and without any provocation that would potentially mar the KL112 progression.
