SHAH ALAM, 8 Apr: The PAS Supporters Congress described the act of hanging banners to scare the Chinese community against PAS and Pakatan Rakyat (PR) as an act of a political party that is ‘bankrupt’ of ideologies.
It’s Chairman, Hu Pang Chaw, said that the move was made because the opponent does not have any ideas that can convince the people of their fight.
However, he said that such things will not affect Chinese voters because Chinese voters have rejected Umno-BN since before.
He explained that the act proves that the opposition party is indeed afraid of PR.
“When they run have run out of ideas, they use such tactics because they have truly run out of ideas. The ideology of their fight is truly gone, it no longer exists.
“Chinese voters have already decided to choose which party they want to vote for, I advise them to accept the fact that the Chinese community have already rejected Umno-BN,” he said when contacted.
It is understood that PR activists have already identified 240 locations for the instalment of the banners with the aim of misleading local residents, including 96 locations in Subang Jaya.
Most of the banners were places in Chinese community areas and are written in Chinese about the implementation of Hudud and an Islamic state if they vote for PAS.
Meanwhile, the Subang Jaya Assemblyman in a press conference said that DAP believed that such irresponsible acts was committed by Umno-BN.
This is because only parties that have substantial funds is able to produce banners and hang them throughout Selangor in the face of the soon coming 13th General Elections (GE-13).
“In Subang, there are many banners written in Chinese that uses the photo of Datuk Seri Hadi Awang, it is also written ‘we support Datuk Seri Hadi Awang to be the Prime Minister’.
“And also those stating that they want Datuk Seri Anwar to be Prime Minister,” he said.
