KUALA LUMPUR, 7 May: The popular vote gained by Pakatan Rakyat (PR) has increased to 5,623,984 or 52 percent, leaving the BN rivals behind in the 13th General Election (GE-13) last Sunday.
Preliminary analysis also showed that the increase resulted in a the strong support received from all walks of life, especially from the young people, regardless of race.
According to PKR De Facto Leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today, a full analysis will be released in a few days and he is confident that the study will prove that there was fraud and irregularities in the election.
“The people’s vote shows that the people in this country are united to form a Malaysian family.
“They vote as a symbol of bringing a new hope for Malaysia, as championed by PR,” he said at a press conference here at the PKR headquarters.

In the GE-13 recently, the majority of seats won by BN declined when they only won 133 parliamentary seats, while PR showed an increase of 89 parliamentary seats.
According to the comparison of constituency seats in the country, the seats won by PR increased from 198 constituency seats in the GE-12 to 229, while BN showed a decline from 307 constituency seats to 275 constituency seats only.
