AMPANG, June 23: PKR De Facto Leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Pakatan Rakyat (PR) leaders are ready to meet with Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak to hold any negotiations.
However, Anwar said that the discussions have to be done transparently and openly.
“I have never refused to talk with anyone, but it should be done transparently and openly.
“We constantly invite to hold negotiations, to talk with PR and I, Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang and Lim Kit Siang are ready to meet with Najib and Muhyiddin anytime,” he said.
He said this today in the opening session of the Pakatan Rakyat Convention at the De Palma Inn Hotel here in Ampang.
Previously, the Opposition Leader denied meeting Najib in Indonesia as the media speculated last week.
A news portal reported that Najib and Anwar were in Jakarta at the same time and it was likely that they met.
The report claimed that the meeting was arranged when Najib feared to be challenged in the Umno elections this year and is likely to face a motion of no confidence in the House of Representatives.
