KLANG, 18 Nov: The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, consented to appoint Members of the Selangor Royal Council in a ceremony at the Shah Alam Palace Central Court today.
Four Ex-Officio Members of the Selangor Royal Council who received the letter of appointment were; Tengku Bendahara Selangor, Tengku Azman Shah; Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim; the Chairman of the Selangor Islamic Religious Council (MAIS), Datuk Mohamad Adzib Mohd Isa, and Selangor Mufti, Datuk Mohd Tamyes Abdul Wahid. Their appointment will be effective as of 1 December 2013 till 30 November 2016.
Four other beneficiaries, five Orang-Orang Besar and seven Orang-Orang Tua, also received their letter of appointment and took the oath as Members of the Selangor Royal Council.
The four beneficiaries are; Tengku Aris Temenggong Selangor, Tengku Muhamad Yusof Shah; Tengku Panglima Diraja Selangor, Tengku Sulaiman Shah; Tengku Panglima Besar Selangor, Tengku Abdul Samad Shah and Tengku Indera Setia Selangor, Tengku Ahmad Shah.
The Orang-Orang Besar are; Tengku Seri Wangsa Diraja, Tengku Setia Ramli, Tengku Shahruddin Shah; Engku Setia Lela Bestari, Raka Tan Sri Arshad Raja Tun Uda; Tengku Indera Pahlawan Diraja, Tengku Datuk Paduka Putra Tengku Azman Shah; Datuk Orang Kaya Maha Bijaya Gombak, Datuk Paduka Raja Tan Sri Wan Mahmood Pa’wan Teh and Datuk Orang Kaya Maha Bijaya Klang, Datuk Setia Diraja Abdul Ghani Pateh Akhir.
The Orang–Orang Tua are; Datuk Setia Abdul Halim Abdul Rauf; Tan Sri Ambrin Buang; General Tan Sri Mohd Hashim Mohd Ali; Tan Sri Syed Mohd Yusof Tun Syed Nasir; Tan Sri Setia Ismaul Adam; Datuk Setia Ramli Mahmud and Datuk Orang Kaya Maha Bijaya Hulu Selangor, Datuk Aman Shah Mohd Shahar.
