PETALING JAYA, 27 Jan: The young generation in this country should be brave in confronting the interests of the people in fighting for the people’s rights on the issue of the high cost of living, the goods and services tax (GST) and the economic gap.
The Assemblyman for Seri Setia, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, said that the views of the young people gives response regarding issues on the people’s interests that are important for a change in the political landscape of the country.
He said that the young people should inherit the fighting spirit of the PKR de facto leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, in bringing change to the country.
“Not only do we need to be united, but also courageous in making changes,”
“What is important is that everyone gives ideas and views in dealing with the issue,” said Nik Nazmi, who is also the Selangor State Assembly (DNS) Deputy Speaker.
He said this in his speech during the Youth Dialogue held with the Youth Dialogue With Anwar Ibrahim at the Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa yesterday evening.
He said that the views of the young people are important to continue the momentum in the fight for change in this country.
“That is what is needed in this country, we need the youth to give us strength to fight for changes in this country, for the better,” he said.
