KLANG, 11 Dec: The awarding of the Datuk Paduka Mahkota Selangor (DPMS) award, which carries the title ‘Datuk’, to the two Selangor Exco members is a recognition and motivation to work harder.
The Exco for Housing, Building Management and Urban Life, Datuk Iskandar Abdul Samad, said that the award boosts his enthusiasm to continue working harder for the people.
“I am grateful to the Sultan for the award rendered.
“It is a recognition and motivation for me to work even harder in ensuring the the budget 2015 which was presented recently can be successfully implemented for the benefit of the people,” he said.
He said this when met by reporters after the investiture ceremony in conjunction with the 69th birthday of the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, at the Alam Shah Palace today.
Apart from Iskandar, the Exco for Islamic Affairs, Malay Customs, Rural Development and Traditional Villages, Datuk Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi, also received the same award.
“As the Exco for Religious Affairs, I will do my best to ensure the welfare and harmony of the people of Selangor is continuously guaranteed.
“I am confident that under the auspices and reign of the Sultan of Selangor, harmony and prosperity of the people will continue to be guaranteed and through his wisdom also, political issues, previous racial and religious tensions can be resolved as best possible,” he said.
