SHAH ALAM, 6 Jan: PKR Vice-President Rafizi Ramli said that he will not hold back attacks to further examine issues arising involving the national investment agency, 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).
He said that the series of disclosures will not change even though his acquaintance, Arul Kanda Kandasamy, will be leading the company which is being highly criticised.
“Actually, I have just finished a meeting regarding 1MDB. We will welcome him with more disclosures,” he said, taken from Malaysia Kini.
Rafizi said that he and Arul Kanda, 39, furthered their studies at the same time in the United Kingdom previously.
Arul Kanda will replace Mohd Hazem Abdul Rahman who resigned as the Chief Executive Officer of 1MDB yesterday.
In a statement, the 1MDB Chairman, Datuk Lodin Wok Kamaruddin, said that Arul has been named as the President and Group Executive Director effective immediately.
Arul Kanda said that his priority is to conduct strategic operational reviews of the company owned by the Ministry of Finance.
He previously joined the Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank as the vice executive president and head of investment banking.
