Assemblyman asks to solve damaged road issue, coordinator confirms action has been taken

SHAH ALAM, 5 Jan: The Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) has been urged to take immediate action to overcome dangerous and damaged roads in several locations around Kota Damansara.

The Kota Damansara Assemblyman, Halimaton Saadiah Bohan, said that the problematic roads identified are along the main road from the Kuning Mosque heading towards Zubaidah Restaurant in Section 5, the main road from the UpTown Kota Damansara traffic light in front of the McDonald’s restaurant, the Shell petrol station and Siddiq Restaurant.

Apart from that, she said that the same problem also occurs at the main road behind the Section 10 School heading towards Section 8, along the main road in front of the Kota Damansara Assemblyman’s Office and the Section 7 main road.

“Prior to this, several complaints have been submitted, but until today, no action has been taken by the authorities to address the problem that is causing trouble for the residents in the affected areas.

“For the record, a few accidents have also happened due to the damages involved. It is dangerous to motorcyclists and drivers who pass through this problematic area.

“In relation to that, we hope that immediate action will be taken before accidents happen that may cause the lives of the innocent,” she told Selangor Kini.

Meanwhile, the Kota Damansara constituency Coordinator, Mohd Radzlan Jalaludin, said that they are informed about the problem and will act immediately.

“We already know of all the roads listed and it has been reported to MBPJ via council members. Follow-up action by MBPJ has already been taken before the complaint made by Halimaton.

“We understand that the patching and resurfacing have already begun in some areas and others will begin in a timely manner.

“The constituency Coordinator’s Office is always aware of the conditions of basic infrastructure like roads in this area,” he said.
