SHAH ALAM, 6 Jan: The Kajang Assemblyman, Datuk Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, always takes time to conduct fieldwork to listen to the concerns of the residents of her area, thereby taking any problems to the relevant authorities.
Recently, Wan Azizah visited Sungai Chua to personally see the occurrence of a collapsed wall due to flooding as a result of drainage problems.
During the visit, Wan Azizah, better known as Kak Wan, also spent time mingling with the residents of the area.
She also managed to visit the Sungai Jelok Catchment Pond which has not been maintained well.
“Kak Wan saw small children bathing in the pond during rain…it is dangerous for them,” she wrote on her Facebook post.
In addition to that, Kak Wan also took the time to visit Sungai Kantan to visit the centre for goods collection for flood victims.
During the day trip with the Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj), the representatives of the local authority also promised to solve some problems in the areas visited by them, including helping residents overcome the problem of flash floods.
