SHAH ALAM, 19 Jan: The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) sent a humanitarian aid convoy for the third time after two delegations departed prior to this.
Its Corporate Deputy Director, Shahrin Ahmad, said that the convoy was sent to carry out post-flood cleaning at Gua Musang, Kelantan.
He said that aid was also sent to ease the burden of flood victims who have suffered loss and terrible damage to their property.
“MBSA is concerned about the suffering and hardship of the flood victims and feel obligated to help.
“The assistance rendered can alleviate local residents and give them hope and restore their spirits,” he said.
The third team is led by the Setia Alam Branch Office Manager, Khalidon Harun, and accompanied by 47 members from various departments.
The convoy was flagged-off by the Mayor of Shah Alam, Datuk Ahmad Zaharin Mohd Saad, and involved a bus and a 4×4 vehicle.
Meanwhile, other logistical requirements such as Roll-On-Roll-Off lorries and backhoes are still in Gua Musang for cleaning.
