150,000 voters likely to be lost at GE14

KUALA LUMPUR, MAR 14: Around 150,000 voters do not know their actual polling centre after their voting locations were changed by Election Commission (EC) ahead of the 14th General Election (GE14).

Lembah Pantai Member of Parliament, Nurul Izzah Anwar said that referring to EC raising objection on voter’s registration involving new voters in Malaysia.

“EC will make 150,000 voters likely go astray on election day after their State Legislative Assembly and Parliamentary areas have been changed.

“It is impossible that we will just let it go when the fraud is happening so clearly,” she said during a discourse session at Dewan Rakyat today.

Nurul Izzah said EC’s attempt to cheat will only raise doubts on its integrity under the leadership of Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

“The addiction to bribe is befalling the election system in this country when the Prime Minister himself has corrupted this system which eventually damaged its credibility.

“This is evident in the ongoing lawsuit against EC,” said the KEADILAN Vice President, referring to the Selangor Government’s lawsuit proceedings against EC.

Earlier, EC had called new voters to testify at its General Investigation Hearing Session.

They were all asked to attend relating to the re-registration of new addresses where it was alleged that there were ‘unknown’ addresses in the area.
