Khalid: BN Only Realised that the Kajang Hospital is 125 Years Old in Light of the By-Election?

SHAH ALAM, 24 Feb: The proposal by the Federal Government to replace the 125 year old Kajang Hospital building reflects the BN government’s attitude of assuming public facility development projects for the people is to win votes.

The Member of Parliament for Shah Alam, Khalid Samad, said that if the BN Government thinks of the well-being of the people, they should have carried out this project prior to the start of the Kajang State Legislative Assembly (DUN) by-election season.

“This causes the people to question the sincerity of the Central Government because prior to this, it is not that the government did not know about it, but did not see the need to carry out such projects.

“This shows lack in professionalism by considering this projects as bait to win votes instead of responsibility and duty that needs to be carried out,” said Khalid when contacted by Selangor Kini today.

Khalid also expressed disappointment that until now, the Federal Government has failed to complete the construction of the Shah Alam Hospital, which has been stalled many times.

“If the government is really doing their job professionally, they will carry it out according to plans and needs. What should be completed, complete it first,” added Khalid.

Yesterday, Dr Subramaniam, suggested to the Central Government for the old 125 year old Kajang Hospital building to be replaced with a new building which is modern and comfortable.

In addition, Dr Subramaniam also said that the Ministry of Health has approved an allocation of RM10 million to upgrade existing facilities and equipment at the Kajang Hospital.
