KUALA LUMPUR, OCT 24: The Semenyih River Water Treatment Plant pollution case will be suspended temporarily as it is now a police investigation.
Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said this following a police report lodged by the Selangor Water Management Authority (LUAS).
“LUAS is a state government agency. All these incidents happened outside of Selangor. The most recent case is in Nilai, before this in Semantan, Pahang.
“So LUAS took the initiative to lodge a police report and we will allow the police to investigate,” he said at the Parliament lobby during a break in the Dewan Rakyat sitting recently.
Mohamed Azmin also hoped that those who are responsible for the water pollution will be brought to justice.
