TANJUNG KARANG – A total of 92 entrepreneurs in the Tanjong Karang Parliament received loans from HIJRAH Selangor as capitals for their business, at a total of RM644,000.
Community Service Centre Administrator for Permatang Constituency, Rozana Zainal Abidin said, the opportunity given by the State Government should be maximised by the community as the field of entrepreneurship can bring high returns if pursued seriously.
“The aid which is provided in cash through this HIJRAH programme should be used accordingly and not for other things.
“If the loans are not misused, it would be easier for the State Government to create a group of independent entrepreneurs, who can change their destinies and increase their household income, ultimately enabling them to repay the loans on schedule,” he said during his speech at the HIJRAH voucher presentation ceremony recently.
Also present during the ceremony was Tanjung Karang HIJRAH Branch Manager, Mohd Razali Abdul Razak.
Meanwhile, Mohd Razali said, HIJRAH Tanjung Karang now has 1,380 entrepreneurs in various fields such as food, grocery, farming, plantation, manufacturing and services.
He also said that HIJRAH Tanjung Karang has channelled a total of approximately RM8.6 million in loans, with value of each loan in between RM1,000 to RM50,000, depending on the business and borrower’s repayment ability.
