RM50,000 awaits anglers on September 1 at Tasik Kota Puteri

SHAH ALAM, 27 Aug: The Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) will host the PKNS Golden Jubilee Fishing Challenge 214 at Tasik Kota Puteri, Ijok, which will be held on September 1.

The PKNS Public Relations Manager, Ishak Hashim, said that the tournament will begin at 8 am to 1 pm, with the awards ceremony expected to be carried out by the General Manager of PKNS, Azlan Md Alifiah.

“This competition offers prizes totalling RM50,000 for the winners and 10 ovens for the lucky draw prizes. The winner will take home RM25,000, second place RM6,000 and RM3,000 will go to the third place winner.

“The entry fee is RM50 per rod per participant and a 24-hour registration will begin at Tasik Kota Puteri at 12 pm this coming Sunday,” he said.

As early preparation, the organisers released a ton of catfish into the lake at 3 pm yesterday. The fish release ceremony was carried out by the Deputy General Manager (Technical), Ir Abdul Ghani Hashim.
