Exco, YIDE help Taman Kapar Ria fire victims

SHAH ALAM, AUG 30: The State Government together with Darul Ehsan Islamic Foundation has given an ad-hoc cash donation and basic necessities to two families who were victims of a fire in Taman Kapar Ria recently.

The donation was given by Health, Welfare, Women and Family Development Exco, Dr Daroyah Alwi and YIDE Contributions and Promotions Unit Operations Manager, Md Arifin Jaafar.

Dr Daroyah said the State Government is consistently ensuring that people who are affected by any disaster or catastrophe are duly assisted.

“For now, the victims are placed at Dewan Sri Kerayong and InsyaAllah there will be more help from other parties,” she said.

Meanwhile, also present were representatives from the Local Authority, Selangor State Disaster Management Unit and Kampung Kapar Development and Security Committee.

Last week, a fire had destroyed four terrace unit, two were vacant and two were tenanted, however no casualty was reported.

YIDE is an agency under MAIS, responsible to implement welfare activities in the state.

Md Arifin Jaafar said the agency will continue to carry-out its social responsibilities by giving out ad-hoc contributions, in the form of cash and other necessities, to victims of disasters and catastrophes.

“Besides helping Selangor citizens who are affected by disasters, YIDE also plays a role to manage orphans in Selangor and it also offers Hemodialysis Treatment through its MAIS Dialysis Centre with six branches in Selangor.

“YIDE will continue to contribute for the welfare of Selangor citizens and support in making Selangor a state that protect the welfare of its citizens,” he said.
