SHAH ALAM, AUG 3: Yayasan Selangor’s management is expanding its operation into optimum commercial investment and property development to raise funds for students under their sponsorship.
Yayasan Selangor Senior Manager, Zahura Zakry said, it includes housing project with estimated RM15 million in returns and 25 percent of gross development profit.
She said it is a joint development project with Kumpulan Hartanah Sdn Bhd on a 7.5 acre of land in Kundang.
“Same goes with the international school development project on a 17 acre land in Rimba Templer with RM68,000 returns in a month.
“All these revenues will be channeled for a more sustainable and efficient education development within the next five years strategic plan,” he said at the 2016 Yayasan Selangor Education Excellence Award recently.
Zahura added that other projects include palm oil plantation in Carey Island with Yayasan Selangor getting 85 percent of the expected revenue target this year.
She said the 100-acre land owned by Yayasan Selangor in Ulu Bernam has also been leased for a fish-farming project.
“Among the projects that we have sent out Request for Proposal are the redevelopment of Bangunan Bukit Bintang, PT647 development project in Carey Island for a 1,200-acre industrial development and a 1.1 acre land development project in Shah Alam to build Yayasan Selangor headquarters.
“The rest are Bukit Tinggi land development project (1 acre), Klang (16.59 acres), Dengkil (15 acres), Kuala Kubu Bharu (10 acres) and Ulu Yam (68 acres),” she said.
