KUALA SELANGOR, 6 June: The PAS Legal Committee Chairman, Hanipa Maidin, was challenged by a school teacher to become a lawyer when he boldly questioned the offence against him for climbing over the school fence.
“When I was in school, I was caught for climbing over the dorm fence when I wanted to go to the PAS talk.
“When the teacher wanted to take action against me, I asked why I was being penalized because I went to the PAS talk when those who climbed over the fence to go for concerts had no action taken against them.
“Teacher, I added and I answered smartly and he challenged me to become a lawyer,” he said.
Hanipa recalled memories of his school days during the winding-up of the debate today, the last day of the 61st PAS Annual Conference at the Kuala Selangor Indoor Stadium.
He said that his teacher finally became a morale booster for him to pursue his ambition of becoming a lawyer.
