“The construction of the bridge shows progress at the site ahead of schedule by 2.18%,” he said at the 13th Selangor State Assembly (DNS) Third Term Second Meeting today.

Zaidy (PAS-Taman Templer) was responding to a verbal question from Sulaiman Abdul Razak (BN-Permatang).

At the same time, he said that the land acquisition is being carried out by the Klang District and Land Office in compliance with the Land Acquisition Act 1990.

He said that it involves an overall acquisition cost of over RM41.49 million.

“Meanwhile, the contract cost for phase one amounts to RM199 million and was awarded to Cergas Murni Sdn Bhd through an open tender,” he said.

The Third Klang Bridge is expected to be completed on July 13, 2016, and will be able to disperse traffic congestion around Bandar Klang, the Tengku Kelana Bridge and the Kota Bridge by up to 20 percent compared to the current traffic flow.
