Abdul Hadi: Kedah Administration Crisis Only An ‘Election News’

KUALA LUMPUR, 21 FEB: PAS President, Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang considers the issue of Kedah PAS administrative upheaval which is currently the focus of the media, as an ‘election news’.

Cynically, he said that PAS has always solved party problems and is unlike Umno-BN, which has to ‘call upon’ the former Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

“(Azizan’s rejection) we regard as election news. Normally, the people from PAS joins Umno, the people from Umno joins Umno.

“We can also say that the crisis between (Umno President Datuk Seri) Najib and (Umno Deputy President Tan Sri) Muhyiddin should also be publicised,” he said after launching the ‘PAS Welfare Nation’ trailer in front of the PAS headquarters.

Media reports yesterday claimed that 11 out of 15 PAS areas in the state have urged for Datuk Seri Azizan Abdul Razak to resign as the Chief Minister and Commissioner of PAS Kedah.

This is because of his failure to administer Kedah apart from solving the Kedah PAS internal problems.

According to Abdul Hadi, he added that Azizan’s name was also listed as a candidate who will be contesting at the 13th General Elections (GE-13).

He was confident that the people will continue to have confidence in the current State Government to continue to govern Kedah.

Meanwhile, PAS Secretary General, Datuk Mustafa Ali clarified that he has not received any official complaint from Kedah PAS members in relation to the internal friction.
