Kuala Lumpur, 22 Mar: Today the Keadilan Youth Brigade (AMK – Angkatan Muda Keadilan) lodged a police report to urge the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) to open an investigation against Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

The insistence was made following a statement by the late PI Balasubramaniam or PI Bala’s lawyer, Americk Singh Sidhu, that the Prime Minister instructed another lawyer, Tan Sri Cecil Abraham to make PI Bala a Second Statutory Declaration (SD2).

The police report was lodged by AMK Chief, Shamsul Iskandar Akin at the Dang Wangi Police Station this afternoon.

“I believe the directive was malicious and an attempt to deny facts made by P.Balasubramaniam via the SD1, which implicated him in the case of the death of the Mongolian, Altantuya Shaaribuu.

“Through both Americk and Cecil’s statements, it is clear that Najib tried to lie to the people about his involvement in the murder case,” Shamsul explained.

PI Bala, a private investigator hired by Razak Baginda made the SD2 a day after the SD1 pledge was made on July 4, 2008.

The late PI Bala previously also claimed that he was threatened by one of Najib’s brothers, so much so that he changed the SD1 to the SD2.

Carpet businessman, Deepak Jaikishan also admitted that he and Najib’s brother were also involved in changing PI Bala’s statutory declaration.

Recently, during the Malaysian Bar Council General Meeting, Americk revealed that Cecil informed that he was directed by Najib, who was the Deputy Prime Minister at the time, to prepare the SD2 for PI Bala.

“In relation to that, we ask for PDRM to carry out a detailed investigation on Americk’s exposure,” Shamsul added.
