BY NORHAYATI UMOR

SHAH ALAM, SEP 5: Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali can bring huge changes in the country based on the leadership he has shown in Selangor.

The Associate Professor of Politics and International Relations at the School of International Studies (SOIS), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). Prof Dr Mohd Azizuddin Mohd Sani said Mohamed Azmin should be given a higher chance especially in the 14th General Election (GE-14) .

He said the change is inevitable for Malaysia to move further to the front as Azmin has shown success in bringing transformations in his administration.

“This is the time to give opportunity to young people to lead and he is qualified to given a higher position.

“Not only in Pakatan Harapan, in fact the same can be done in Barisan Nasional (BN) too, Today people only see the Minister of Youth and Sports, Khairy Jamaluddin.

“Many people like the way of these two young leaders who seem to understand the younger people, hence leadership pattern can now change and trust must be given to the younger people,” he added.

At the same time, Malaysian can emulate several countries with young leaders such as France and Canada.

Dr Mohd Azizuddin said, young leaders in those countries brought transformation in administration, in fact there were many improvements.

“It is time to follow the flow. The time now is not like what is used to be. Looking at the leadership scenario in the country currently, political parties in this country should be led by younger generations,” he said.

Mohamed Azmin served as Dato’ Menteri Besar on September 24, 2014 upon consent by His Royal Highness the Selangor Sultan to replace Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.
