SHAH ALAM, MAY 2: A part of the wall on the 12th floor of Cheras Utama Flat collapsed when the water tank for the building on Jalan CU 4A broke early this morning.
Operations Assistant Director for Selangor Fire and Rescue Department, Mohd Sani Harul said he received calls from the public at 1.30 in the morning.
“Seven staff members were rushed to the location and found that the wall had really collapsed.
“Investigation found that the collapse was due to the broken water tank on the top floor of the building,” he said in a statement today.
Samsol said, the rubbles had crushed a Proton Wira car and a motorcycle parked below from the building.
“The collapse had only affected the living room of the house and no casualties was reported,” he said.
