“As a Chief Minister, i am always busy handling our state’s affairs. Even though, i go on the ground to meet the community here, I do not want them to feel left out of our future plans and efforts for them,” he said during a press conference for a Ramadan funds aid handover ceremony, at Kampung Perigi Nenas here.

Abdul Khalid said, Faekah as a Coordinating Officer will be able to spend more time organizing health clinic programmes and also to solve problems faced by the residents in the state assembly area of Port Klang.

“She will also be assisting in solving issues regarding abandoned land, identifying the land owners and also the development plans of the area without marginalising its residents,” he added.

At the same time, Abdul Khalid will also request for a research to be conducted by Central Spectrum (M) Sdn Bhd regarding any problems faced by the residents of Port Klang to further understand their socioeconomic status.

This is also to find suitable ways and solution to uplift the incomes of the families.

“The research can also be done by university lecturers, students or socioeconomic experts. The cost to conduct the research is estimated at RM100,000 which is reasonable and there is no concrete reason why we should not proceed with it,” he said.

He also added that the Land Office were also requested to cooperate on this issue to help make this research a success.

“After that, we will truly understand their problems and be able to find solutions to uplift their income. We do not just want development, but marginalising its residents,” Abdul Khalid said.
