Kampung Bagan will be developed in 2016

SABAK BERNAM, 21 Sept: The whole of Kampung Bagan involved in fishing activities as a source of income will be developed by 2016.

The Exco for Local Government, Ean Yong Hian Wah, said that development will begin with six villages as pioneer villages.

“We will choose two to three villages in each district that have villages riverside villages such as in the Klang District, Kuala Selangor and Sabak Bernam.

“I have visited Kuala Selangor and this week Sabak Bernam to identify local problems to held these villages,” he said.

Hian Wah said this during a working visit in Sabak Bernam today.

For Kampung Bagan Sungai Burung, Hian Wah said that the fishermen there require a boat parking area because the river is rather congested with big boats, and the area will also be upgraded as a tourist site.

He explained that similar developments are also a need to the fishermen in Kampung Bagan Sungai Besar, in addition to infrastructural development such as drains and roads.

Meanwhile, Sekinchan and Pantai Redang that are more towards becoming tourist sites will be provided appropriate business areas.

“For this, the local authorities involved will propose the work plan and budget deeded based on the requirements of each village,” he said.
