SHAH ALAM, 19 Aug: The state government is establishing a model kindergarten with the concept of Pre-School Education Institution next year that is appropriate for the learning of all races.
The Exco for Education, Human Capital Development, Science, Technology and Innovation, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, said that the model kindergarten learning modules will be taken and improved from Indonesia.
“We will used the module from Jakarta and Bandung that is improved.
“This kindergarten is a pilot project that will be implemented in 2016,” he said when answering a question from Haniza Talha (PKR-Taman Medan).
Nik Nazmi (PKR-Seri Setia) said that the state government intends to provide training for staff and instructors for the programme.
“One challenge is when education is under the Federal government, but we are looking at it in terms of training because we want to follow various standards.
“However, at the moment, the area to implement the model kindergarten is still being reviewed, each Assemblyman can send proposals to me,” he said.
