Kita Lawan organised rally to abolish GST on May 1

SHAH ALAM, 15 Apr: The Kita Lawan Secretary stressed that the movement is not only focused on the release of Opposition Leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, but is also involved in current issues that oppress the people.

Its Secretary, Akmal Nasir, said that Kita Lawan will not be swayed by any party because they depend on the voices of the young people.

“That is why it is hard for me to answer the question on who is the secretariat behind Kita Lawan because it depends on the voices of the young people,” he said during the Black 14: From Reformation to #Kita Lawan forum in Petaling Jaya last night.

He informed that Kita Lawan will hold a rally to demand the government to abolish the GST, which is considered an unjust tax, on May 1.

He said that the Keadilan Youth Movement (AMK) Strategic Director asked all young people to attend the rally to voice their dissatisfaction towards the implementation of the GST.

“Kita Lawan is not only about injustice against Anwar, but also other matters such as the GST. Therefore, we ask the young people to participate en masse on May 1.

“If many of us are there, who would dare to arrest in teams,” he said.
