Language classes boost communication skills

AMPANG, 4 AUG: The organisation of language classes is believed to be beneficial for women to improve their communication skills.

Teratai Assemblyman, Tiew Way Keng, said the classes were first held since the middle of last year and received an overwhelming response.

“We want women to be equipped with excellent communication skills as this would help them tremendously in their daily affairs as well as boost their self-confidence.

“When they are confident, the women would definitely be able to achieve various things and provide benefit to the family and the community,” he told Selangor Kini.

English classes are held every Monday while Bahasa Melayu classes are on Wednesdays. Tamil classes are on Fridays while dance classes and singing classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays respectively.

Way Keng elaborated that the organisation of these classes is currently becoming more active with the cooperation of the Women’s Empowerment Centre (PWB).

“We can see that the classes are receiving more response and are active and progressive with professional trainers,” he said.
