Malaysia Cup: PKNS FC chasing victory

SHAH ALAM, SEPT 18: PKNS FC is determination to put up a good fight in the match with Pahang at the Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) Stadium on 19 September.

PKNS FC manager, Mahfizul Rasydin Abdul Rashid, said that reaching the three-point target is very important in the second leg of the Malaysia Cup campaign in 2015 to pave the way to the quarter-finals after beating Penang last week.

“The chances of all teams in Group D to enter the quarter-finals are still open.

“The team’s focus is definitely how to defend against Pahang’s remarkable attacks,” he told Selangor Kini.

Mahfizul admits that Pahang as the defending champion has a strong line-up led by import player, Dickson Nwakaeme.

He said PKNS FC will fix several technical and tactical aspects which were found to be not so effective during the match against Penang.

He said the coach also emphasised to players individually to prepare mentally and physically.

“Certainly, PKNS FC will be the underdogs against Pahang who is also the runner-up of Pahang Super League this season.

“We hope that all plans will succeed for PKNS FC,” he said.

PKNS defeated Penang 3-0 in first match while Pahang beat PDRM by 4-3.
