SHAH ALAM, 23 Aug: At the end of the Super League 2015, Selangor failed to emerge as the winner despite matching its performance as the runner-up last season, but ended the season in third place behind Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) and Pahang.
But for the Selangor coach Mehmet Durakovic, he is happy with the achievements in the league this season, which ended with a 2-0 victory over Perak at the Perak Stadium, Ipoh, last night, reported the FAS website.
“I am happy with the team’s performance in this match. The players played very well, they managed to control the game and it is not easy to win in Ipoh.
“So, I congratulate all players and coaches. We have done the best this season.
“It is not easy to compete with JDT which has the best player and Pahang which has long played as a team,” said Durakovic after the game.
After this, Selangor will continue at the Malaysia Cup starting 11 September and Durakovic is confident that his team will do their best.
“We will try our best and continue the rhythm in the last few games.
“I am quite certain that we will do our best in the Malaysia Cup. But it is not an easy task and it depends on the results of the vote on August 27,” he said.
