Muhammad Taib Welcome to Campaign for Pakatan Rakyat throughout Selangor

SHAH ALAM, 22 Apr: Former Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said that Tan Sri Muhammad Mohd Taib move to join PAS will provide motivation to the Selangor Pakatan Rakyat (PR) in facing the 13th General Election (GE-13).

“We welcome his entry into PR; moreover he has been in Umno-BN for a long time.

“His participation gives us a picture or motivation to work harder because people are starting to believe in PR’s ability in administrating the state and the nation,” said Abdul Khalid at a press conference here.

Selangor PAS Treasurer, Izham Hashim added that Muhammad, the former Chief Minister of the previous Umno-BN Selangor Government began to flirt with PAS over the past year.

Muhammad has pledged to participate in the campaign to help Selangor PR defend the existing administration.

“He has given his commitment to tour around Selangor each night to explain to the people why we need to retain PR in Selangor, and to takeover Putrajaya,” said Izham.

Earlier, in a press conference held at the Selangor Exco Housing Complex, Seputeh Parliamentary candidate, Teresa Kok launched a collection album of the winners of the Street Songs Festival titled ‘Zero Racism’.

According to her, the album that contains seven songs is the work of young artists who promote political awareness, love of country, anti-corruption and anti-racism.

“These songs also reflect the spirit of the younger generation who are committed in fighting for human rights, justice, anti-corruption, democracy and patriotism,” said Teresa.
