NFC Lawsuit Cancellation Gives Strength to Cutting Down Corruption

SHAH ALAM, 11 Nov: Individuals practicing corruption and abuse of power have been warned to not recklessly threaten to sue parties who expose their activities because such actions are for the people’s justice.

The Selangor Keadilan Youth (AMK) Chief, Azmizm Zaman Huri, said that the move for Datuk Seri Shahrizat Jalil to drop the RM100 million suit against the Wanita PKR Chief, Zuraida Kamarudin, and PKR Strategy Director, Rafizi Ramli, provides power to all parties to continue to storm out the corruption endemic in the country.

He said that individuals from parties or non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and individuals who come forward to expose abuse of power and corruption activities should have enough information and go through the correct procedures before making a move.

“If the law is carried out sincerely, then no individual can be protected from being brought to justice,” he said in a press statement today.

Azimzam, who is also the Central AMK Deputy Chief, said that the matter clearly shows that all the hard work by the PKR leaders were assisted by the party’s driving force, NGOs and the people, to uncover the fraud of the National Feedlot Corporation (NFC), and thus, received a larger victory.

“Therefore, there is no need to be afraid, especially for young people across the country who are continuing to fight for a better administration of the country,” he said.
