PKNS: 3 fired employees back to work

SHAH ALAM, 14 Jan: Three of the 19 PKNS Holdings Sdn Bhd (PHSB) employees who were dismissed in February 2014 submitted their applications and have gone back to work at the corporation and its subsidiary companies of the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS).

The PKNS Public Relations Manager, Ishak Hashim, said that they are still in the process of reviewing the remaining 16 other employees and in the process of re-interviewing four of them.

This was following the decision of the Corporation Council Members, chaired by the Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, regarding the matter.

“This move has been taken based on qualifications and relevancy with the needs of both parties.

“PKNS is also in the process of interviewing four former PHSB employees to fill up vacancies in PKNS subsidiary companies, according to needs,” he said in a media statement today.

Ishak said that the PKNS management is also examining the proposal to make an out of court settlement for the remaining 12 other employees.

Previously, Mohamed Azmin said that he will ensure that the employees of the PKNS subsidiary companies involved will get proper justice.

He said that the matter has been extended to the PKNS Board of Directors for the dismissal of all the PHSB employees to be reviewed.

“The management of PKNS needs to reconsider the dismissal process made at the time, which I also fell prey to.

“If the dismissal had elements of injustice, I will ask for justice to be given to them,” he said.
