“The implementation of the minimum wage was announced and began implementation since the administration of the former Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, involving at least 20 GLCs under the state government.

“The same goes for Fardu Ain and al-Quran Class (Kafa) teachers; an increase in their salaries is being reviewed and it will be announced next year,” he said, taken from Sinar Harian.

Prior to this, the Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, in his Labour Day message, said that the Selangor government is consistent in fighting for the minimum wage not only in Selangor but at the national level.
