Rosmah Mansor Allegedly Has AES Summons Arrears

SHAH ALAM, 24 Apr: PKR today claimed that the Prime Minister’s wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, personally has Automated Enforcement System (AES) summon arrears.

Strategy Director, Rafizi Ramli claimed that the arrears show that the Umno-BN Federal Government adopts double-standards in the enforcement system that is opposed by Pakatan Rakyat.

According to Rafizi, the evidence was obtained through the Road Transport Department (JPJ) checking system.

The result of the findings shows that a car with the number plate, XIASEAN360, registered under Rosmah’s name and identification card has arrears summons.

The similar check also revealed that Rosmah has yet to pay the two AES summons dated 30 January 2013 and 13 March 2013.

“This is seen as a double-standard principal when the Prime Minister’s family themselves ignored the AES summons.

“Meanwhile, he (Prime Minister) is strongly defending the system which is being opposed by the people,” said Rafizi in a press statement here today.

Prior to this, Pakatan Rakyat resolved that the AES will be terminated and all summons cancelled if Pakatan Rakyat takes over Putrajaya after the GE-13.

In a recent presentation of Barisan Nasional’s manifesto, they did not touch on AES even though its implementation is still a mystery to this day.

“I think that the failure of the Barisan National manifesto in making a resolve about the AES shows Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak’s desire to implement the AES if Barisan Nasional stays in power.”
