SUBANG, MAR 15: Three talented youths made it to the finals of SAY Ada Gaya, through SAY Ignite 2017 which is a campaign to inspire youths, organised by Selangor Youth Community (SAY) under the patronage of His Royal Highness, Raja Muda Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.

The three finalists will be competing for the total prize money of RM9,500 and given the opportunity for a mentoring programme with SAY Ada Gaya ambassador, Altimet on April 1.

The three who made it were singers Ika Mustafa and Muhammad Akmal Harith as well as group dancer, the Dynamic Duo.

10 participants competed in the semi-finals yesterday when the best three were chosen, judged by three juries who are SAY patron, Tengku Amir Shah; singer, Damian Mikhail and Sunway Group General Manager, Bernard Paul.

SAY Senior Manager, Zaiferez Hadzere Zainal said that SAY Ada Gaya is a talent scouting competition inspired from the television series “Britain’s Got Talent” that was seen as successful in discovering new talents.

He said the programme is open for all youth aged between 18 to 35 and they can upload their talent videos onto Web SAY’s website.

“We received 86 videos which included singing, dancing, playing musical instruments, skateboarding, playing yoyo and other talents.

“This is a recognised platform for new young talents to be elevated to a higher level,” he said to SelangorKini after the SAY Ada Gaya Programme at Sunway Pyramid yesterday.

He added that SAY IGNITE 2017 is designed to celebrate the diverse talents and backgrounds of youths, particularly with the aim to shape a more dynamic and progressive Selangor.
