Sijangkang CSC helps parents create Tabung Haji account

SHAH ALAM, 14 May: Parents have been advised to encourage children to save at a young age, starting from their school days.

Sijangkang Assemblyman, Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi, said that the Sijangkang Office is ready to help parents who need assistance in opening Tabung Haji accounts for students.

Dr Yunus said that the Sijangkang State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Community Service Centre (CSC) has taken the initiative to help manage the opening of new accounts for parents with children aged six to 12, involving six primary schools in the area.

He said this during the Tabung Haji account book and school bag presentation ceremony at Sekolah Kebangsaan Kampung Medan, Sijangkang.

“This initiative is to motivate parents and students themselves to save from a young age.

“This will ensure a stable financial future for students in the future, in addition to disciplining students in managing daily expenses,” he said.

In addition, Dr Yunus said that he aims to contribute a consolation prize to students who manage to receive excellent results in the UPSR examinations, which will be directly channelled into their Tabung Haji accounts.

The initiative will be expanded to benefit all students in Sijangkang, especially students who excel in the mid-term examinations, year-end examinations and major exams like the PMR and SPM examinations.
