SHAH ALAM, JUL 2: The Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) is implementing a Spring Cleaning Programme in conjunction with the Hari Raya celebration. The programme started last June 25 and will end on July 5.
MPAJ Corporate Communications Office Norhayati Ahmad said the programme includes all housing areas in Ampang Jaya and is not limited solely to industrial areas.
She said the essence of the programme is to create and focus public awareness on eliminating mosquito-breeding sites, as well as highlighting waste disposal issues during the festive season.
“MPAJ calls on all residents to take this opportunity to throw away bulk waste such as used furniture, mattresses, electrical items and rubbish accordingly.
“MPAJ is always concerned of waste disposal issues raised by Ampang Jaya residents.
“We hope that residents can now be our eyes and ears in identifying and channelling forward any complaints in their area to us,” she said in a statement.
