Strategic location to attract Indian businessmen to invest in Selangor

SHAH ALAM,m 29 Apr: Indian pharmaceutical and nutraceutical manufacturers have shown interest in collaborating and investing in Selangor.

The Exco for Investment, Industry & Commerce, Small & Medium Industries and Transport, Datuk Tang Chang Khim, said that the location and logistic facilities have led to encouraging feedback from investors.

“Selangor is located in the centre of Southeast Asia, so they believe that goods will be easily distributed all over the world with lower transportation costs compared to India, in fact our industry is also seen as being more reasonable.

“We have Port Klang which is much greater that the existing on in India,” he told Selangor Kini.

Recently, he and a delegation of officers from Invest Selangor Berhad visited Mumbai and Chennai, India.

He said that the visit was only focused on attracting investors in the field of pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals.

“They have expressed a desire to examine and review the opportunities offered in Selangor,” he said.
