TNB Contributes Books and Computers to Raja Tun Uda Library

SHAH ALAM, 14 Feb: Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) presented 330 engineering and technical books, as well as child development books, and ten computer units worth RM136,990 to the Raja Tun Uda Library here in Section 13, to add to the reference books collection and facilities.

DYMM the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, consented to receive the contribution on behalf of the library, which was presented by the TNB Chairman, tan Sri Leo Moggie, in a ceremony this morning.

The contribution is part of TNB’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), in line with the company’s focus in education to enrich the reading resources and reference for all levels of the community.

Meanwhile, the contribution of Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) computers is to provide facilities to library visitors to find books needed more easily, quickly and effectively.

Also present was the Executive Councillor in charge of Education, Higher Learning and Human Capital Development, Dr Halimah Ali, and the Director of the Selangor Public Library Corporation (PPAS), Mastura Muhamad.
