UAE investors invited to become strategic partners of Selangor to expand the market

SHAH ALAM, 1 Apr: Investors from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are invited to become strategic partners in Selangor to expand investment and trade in Southeast Asia.

The Chairman of the Standing Committee on Investment, Industry and Trade, IKS and Transportation, Datuk Teng Chang Khim, said that the state government is keen on making the UAE a strategic partner in expanding the market.

He said that this desire was communicated to the UAE Minister of Economy, Sultan Saeed Al Mansouri, who received a courtesy call from him at the Dubai World Trade Centre on Tuesday.

The EAE Minister of Economy, Sultan Saeed Al Mansouri, had visited Malaysia and praised the Malaysian effort of planning an economic development zone.

He also expressed a desire to explore a joint venture with Selangor in investment and development of the Halal industry which has a huge market in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Europe.

Chang Khim also invited investors in that country to invest in the Halal Hub which was developed by Selangor through the state government subsidiary company, Central Spektrum Sdn Bhd, in Pulau Indah, Klang.
