Wakaf Selangor Muamalat contributes RM5.26 million

SHAH ALAM, 4 June: RM5.26 million was contributed by Wakaf Selangor Muamalat until April this year to the education and health sector.

Its Chairman, Tan Sri Abd Rahman Arshad, said that the donation was delivered to applicants in Selangor and also outside Selangor and not limited to Muslims only.

“In addition, these funds are also being channelled to the sharia-compliant sector to develop endowment funds,” he said in a press statement today.

Wakaf Selangor Muamalat is a service based on donations by Bank Muamalat designed specifically to provide convenience to its customers and the public.

This service is a strategic partnership between Bank Muamalat and the Selangor Wakaf Corporation (PWS) through its network of branches in the country, responsible not only to collect but manage endowment funds together with PWS.

All projects by Wakaf Selangor Muamalat are monitored by the Wakaf Selangor Mualamat Joint Management Committee.
