Single Mother of Eight Receives Sympathy From PKR President

Klang, 14 Jan: The struggle of single mother, Aishah Mohammad, 42, who only earns RM300 a month to support eight children, caught the attention of PKR President, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

Wan Azizah, together with a delegation of leadership from the Klang Chapter of PKR, led by Yew Boon Lye visited Aishah’s home located at the flats at Taman Pendamar Indah 2 to deliver assistance.

Meanwhile, according to Wan Azizah who was met by TV Selangor said that PKR will assist Aishah by providing adequate training so that she could support her family with an adequate source of income.

“We came to meet with Aishah to provide assistance in order to relieve the struggle and hardships that she is experiencing.

“PKR has many programmes for single mothers and we have programmes where we personally attend to in order to understand the hardships so that it is able to give us a deeper sense of penitence,” said Wan Azizah.

Aishah, who was met, expressed her gratitude for the assistance and attentiveness given toward the hardships faced by her.

“I only work as a nanny with an income of RM300 a month, with this meagre income it is difficult and so far, I have not received any assistance from anyone,” she said.

In the meantime, Wan Azizah took the opportunity to mingle with about 30 single mothers at the Kampung Pendamar JKKK Hall here.

This is in conjunction with the Evening Heart to Heart Talk with Kak Wan Programme.

Wan Azizah also presented assistance in the form of rice and food to single mothers at the programme.
