Single Mother Touched When Visited By Selangor Chief Minister

CHERAS, 15 FEB: A single mother living in Bukit Jalil condominiums here was touched when she received a visit from the Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, who was visiting the area in conjunction with the Bandar Tun Razak get-together programme.

Azizah Muhammad, 56, who lost her husband in January admitted to being shocked but happy when she was told that Abdul Khalid was visiting her at her home.

“I did not think that the Chief Minister was willing to visit our family. Alhamdulillah, I am blessed that there are those willing to visit us,” said the mother of four.

During the visit, Abdul Khalid spent some time chatting with Azizah and her family before presenting a personal contribution to ease the burden of the family.

Yesterday, Abdul Khalid conducted visitations around Bandar Tun Razak to meet and mingle with the locals.

The visitations which began at 6.30 in the evening at the Bandar Tasik Selatan Light Rail Transit (LRT) Station saw the Chief Minister greeting those using public transportation there while distributing oranges in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebrations.

Abdul Khalid then performed the Maghrib prayers at the Desa Tun Razak Darul Naim Surau before continuing his visit to Bukit Jalil for a friendly get-together with the locals.

The programme then concluded with a group talks session and a dinner party with the party machine and residents from nearby areas (Bukit Jalil).

Meanwhile, many of the people met were satisfied with Abdul Khalid’s leadership in administering the state and commended the efforts of the State Government in restoring the people’s rights.
