480 Affordable Homes Built In Sabak Bernam

SABAK BERNAM, 26 Mar: A total of 480 Affordable Homes (RMM) will be developed in Pachang Bedena with a price of below RM100,000 each.

Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said that the project with an area of about 25 acres will involve a gross development cost of about RM85 million.

It will be fully developed by the State Government subsidiary company, Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad (PNSB).

“Development in Sabak Bernam is important to ensure that young people will continue to live and get jobs in this area and we also want to develop the economy of young people in the area.

“The overall development is hoped to be implemented immediately and properly designed to be a sample project in Sabak Bernam,” said Abdul Khalid.

He said this during a press conference after the Ladang Air Manis Penchang Bedena Mixed Housing Development and the Rest and Recuperation (R&R) Centre Groundbreaking Ceremony here,

The quality housing at a reasonable price project is jointly developed with the mixed residential and commercial projects as well as a Rest & Recuperation (R&R) facility which is expected to be completed within two years.

Meanwhile, PNSB Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Ahmad Omar said that the ixed development project plans is to develop two-storey terraced houses at a modest cost.

Meanwhile low-medium cost housing and low-cost housing will be developed using the townhouse concept including the construction of three-storey shop offices and commercial lots.

“Other facilities include the construction of a Rest and Recuperation (R&R) and petrol stations to facilitate motorists using the main road through the area as well as to provide business and employment opportunities to the local people,” he said.

Also present at the ceremony was the Housing, Building Management and Squatters Exco, Iskandar Abdul Samad, the Sekinchan Assemblyman, Ng Suee Lim and Sabak Bernam District Officer, Zailani Kadir.
