SHAH ALAM, 15 Mar: Although shocked by the death of private investigator P Balasubramaniam today, this will not stop efforts by Pakatan Rakyat (PR) to continue to expose the mastermind behind the murder of Mongolian citizen, Altantuya Shaariibu.

PKR Vice President, N Surendran when contacted said that although Bala, or better known as PI Bala, has died, his exposure has yet to be answered by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak and the Umno-BN Government.

“This is a sad news because PI Bala has contributed so much to the country by revealing the stories behind the death of Altantuya and the Statutory Declaration.

“Although we have lost him, but his exposure still exists and will become a big issue in our country, even more so as the upcoming 13th General Elections (GE-13) draws near,” he told TV Selangor.

Bala, who recently returned from hiding in India was engaged in a joint campaign with Pakatan Rakyat to expose the murder of Mongolian Altantuya Shaariibu in 2006.

However, after being involved in several series of campaigns, Bala was admitted to a hospital when his heart stopped beating.

Malaysiakini reported that Bala checked out of the Sime Darby Medical Centre last Tuesday but still experienced difficulty breathing during lunch at a restaurant near his house in Rawang at 2.30pm.

Balasubramaniam was then rushed to the clinic for help but died before the ambulance arrived from the Sungai Buloh Hospital.

“He was supposed to undergo a bypass surgery in the next two weeks,” said PI Bala’s lawyer and Subang Member of Parliament, R Sivarasa.

He was instrumental in the two statutory declarations in relation to the murder of Altantuya, who is associated with the highest political leader.
