Selangor Government Donates RM20,000 To The Family Of Supt Ibrahim Lebar

SUBANG JAYA, 14 Mar: The great contribution of military personnel, the late Superintendent Ibrahim Lebar, 52, from the Bukit Aman Special Branch, who was killed while defending national security in Lahad Datu, Sabah has received the State Government’s Attention.

The State Government contributed RM20,000 to his family during a visit to the house of his wife, Rusiah Dahlan, at USJ 9, Subang Jaya today.

The donation was presented by the Welfare, Women’s Affairs, Science, Technology and Innovation Executive Councillor, Rodziah Ismail and the Exco of Investment, Industry and Trade, Teresa Kok Suh Sim.

Also joining the group was State representative and Batu Member of Parliament, Tian Chua.

The assistance is a provision from the Selangor People’s Heroes Fund which amounts to RM10 million which was announced by Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim to assist family members of security personnel who lost their lives while defending the country.

Rodziah said that today’s visit was aimed at conveying the intention of the State Government of wanting to help Rusiah who has three children who are still in their higher education stage.

“I am grateful for the visit and I found that the family of the late Supt is calm, strong and accepts the situation well and I pray for the family, especially for his wife Puan Rusiah, that she will live well,” she said.

Rodziah also asked all to jointly extend assistance to his family continuously in time to come.

“I hope that all present now will also give assistance and I hope that we do not forget their deeds and that we give our attention not only when the issue is warm,” she said.

The late Ibrahim left three children behind, Amirul Shafiq, 22, Amira Shahira, 20, and Amira Shahira, 17 and is safely buried at the Subang Jaya Cemetery on March 4.

Apart from Ibrahim, also killed were Sergeant Abdul Azis Sakirun, 48, (Battalion 14 PGA) Corporal Salam Togiran, 42, (Tawau District Police Headquarters Transportation Branch) and Lance Corporal Mohd Azrul Tukiran, 27, (General Operations Force PGA).

Also, Assistant Superintendent Michael Padel, 36 (Semporna District Special Branch Head), Sergeant Baharin Hamid, 49, (Sabah Contingent Police Headquarters Branch Contingent).
