SHAH ALAM, June 1: Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim and his wife, Puan Sri Salbiah Tunut recorded a message of gratitude to officer and the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) machinery for the Port Klang constituency.
Located at the official residence of the Chief Minister, Abdul Khalid and his wife took the opportunity to personally meet and chat with the machinery that worked hard during the recent 13th General Election (GE-13).
Abdul Khalid had the opportunity to sign his book, “Fearless: From Kampung Boy to CEO” which were given to guests while entertaining them with the ‘Biarlah Bulan Bicara Sendiri’ song.
Meanwhile, the Political Secretary to the Chief Minister, Faekah Husin explained that the Port Klang PR machinery should feel proud because their hard work brought victory to Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim and retains him as the Chief Minister of Selangor for the second time.
Faekah said that the endeavour of all parties in PR through the coalition parties, PKR, PAS and DAP in the past four years has resulted in PR retaining the Port Klang constituency seat and thus administering Selangor.
“Our plans received blessings from Allah till finally our Chief Minister was appointed for a second term.
“I feel that our aim would not have been achieved if we could not keep N46 (Port Klang). Ladies and gentlemen, you actually appointed the Chief Minister from the N46 constituency,” she said.
She said that PR will continue to work towards fulfilling all promises in the manifesto which was stated in the GE-13.
“We have already made the short-term and long-term framework to implement, one by one, of the manifesto which we outlined,” she said.
