Anwar: No Meeting with Najib, Jusof Kalla

KUALA LUMPUR, June 20: PKR De Facto Leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim denied that he was involved in government unity talks during his visit to Indonesia recently.

According to Anwar, he went to Indonesia at the invitation of the Indonesian President, Susilo Banbang Yudhoyono and not just to meet with the former Vice-President of Indonesia, Jusof Kalla or Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

Anwar stressed that PKR is committed to continue with Pakatan Rakyat to pursue the reformation agenda.

“I went to Indonesia not to meet with Jusof Kalla but to meet with SBY.

“Among the topics discussed were about the recent election fraud.

“I deny that I received any suggestion (for a meeting) from Najib,” he told the media.

Previously, Anwar through his Twitter page, denied any rumors that he met with Najib while in Indonesia.

According to Anwar, the meeting in Bali was a ‘Meeting with the Indonesian President, including the Malaysian post-GE issue’.
